Like many bloggers, there are times when I blog more and times when I blog less. This year, I had planned to dictate a time when I would take a break, but life had other ideas.
One of my goals for this year was to become a better blogger and I made great strides in this area in the beginning of the year. But Summertime has always been a tough time for blogging for me, and moving to a place where Summer is THE season, definitely took a toll as well.
So, while I had planned to take August off, it turned into practically the whole Summer. Not only was it an unintentionally long break from blogging, it ended up being a break from sewing, too. According to my bullet journal, I have really sewn in 18 days and my activity was spotty before that.
Now that Fall is approaching, work is slowing down and I'm looking forward to having more time for myself, my sewing and my family. And for blogging, of course!! I'm hoping to get back on track with my goals for the year.
They're are plenty of quilt bloggers who take some time off. One good things bout a blog on a break, is going through all their old entries, reading them for the first time, or catching up on what you might have missed during a hectic schedule. Here's a few of my favorites blogs that are on a break, or had one recently:
Canadian Abroad
Quilty Folks took a long break over the Summer, glad it's back!
Crazy Mom Quilts
Crumb Bums (not a quilt blog, but one of my favorites! I can't wait until she's back.)
How has everyone else's Summer been?
