September 22nd marks the start of Autumn and is the Autumn Equinox. It seems that the day in Fall where the night and day light are just about egual is a good time to start thinking about the goals I would like to achieve this season. Now that I live in a place where the seasons dictate a lot of what goes on around me, it seems appropriate to start thinking of many aspects my own life in such cycles. I already know that my busiest time at my job will be Summer. I know Spring is a great time for me to get situated for the busy months of the following season. I know that Fall for me needs to be productive to feel good entering the lowest, slowest months of Winter. Here are some goals that I would like to achieve between now and December 21st:
Regular Zero Waste Challenges - Starting my Zero Waste journey is exciting and intimidating. There are so many things that I want to do and try and make for the zero waste lifestyle that sometimes I don't know where to start. Creating some challenges over the next 3 months will help with that.
Solidify My Morning Routine - I've been trying to up my productivity and having a good morning routine will really help. I read somewhere that it take 17 days to make new routines stick. We'll see.
Fridge Makeover - This will be my first Zero Waste challenge, but also something I've needed to do for a long time. The way we store and access food isn't working for us and I'm hoping this will help.
Home/Yard Repairs/Projects - We have had some repairs and makes in process all Summer at our house. Many of these are half started and Fall has to be the time when we finish them.
Make Some Finishes - This is a constant goal, but I also think it will help me ease into Winter to get back into quilting and other creative endeavors. . Although starting new sewing is super fun, nothing is more motivating than a good finish!
Clearing this isn't all the plans I have for this season, but these are a few I want to highlight. Who else is making Autumn goals?
