When we went to Denver last month, we tried not to plan too many things to do. We were visiting friend and wanted to go with the flow. One of the only things we heard was not to be missed was the Denver Botanic Gardens. We made sure to get there on our trip and they did not disappoint.
These Botanic Gardens have a nice mix of inside and outside spaces. I enjoy gardens that have a good balance of both. The weather was very hot, but with no humidity which made both spaces enjoyable in their own ways.
This indoor room drenched in mists were definitely a Jurassic Park lover’s dream.
Outside, there were a lot of neat little areas as well. We sat for a while in this bamboo grove.
And my friend dreamed of quant weddings in this airy outside pagoda.
We saw a lot of little creatures while we were there, all enjoying the garden as much as we did.
Admission to this garden was very reasonable at $12.50, I felt bc of the size and variety of things to see and do. They had a separate kids garden that also had a lot of fun things in it. We were disappointed to learn we missed their annual plant sale by only one day!
Overall, I would highly recommend this Botanic Garden and would definitely consider returning if we ever end up in Denver again.
Have you been to the Denver Botanic Garden? What are your thoughts? What city has your favorite garden?
