The end of April and beginning of May are often a good time to be in Brooklyn. Everything is blooming and the people are down to just t shirts and jeans after a long Winter. Street fairs and festivals are starting and dogs are happy as can be. Spring may be brief here, but it sure is magical!
Maybe it's just me, but this was a particularly good year for Brooklyn blooms, and it seemed the whole city was in the pink!
As I was getting this post, a favorite blogger of mine was posting something along the same lines. So I'm not the only Brooklynite who noticed!! Check out Reading My Tea Leaves post about the Brooklyn Botanic Garden's cherry blossoms, here!
The pink might be off the trees already, but we went to our first street fair on Sunday and I had my first watermelon of the season. I can't wait for Summer when I eat it every night for dinner! Pink never goes out of style in Brooklyn.
